About 99 Bookmakers

Who writes 99 Bookmakers, how we check and rate bookmakers, how the site is funded, our editorial rules and how to ask for a correction or contact us.

99 Bookmakers is an independent guide to online sports betting for adults who live outside the United States and the United Kingdom. We explain how odds, margins, bet types and bonuses really work, and we review a small number of sportsbooks whose facts we can check on their own pages. The site has published betting guides since 2016. In 2026 every page was rewritten from scratch, and old reviews of bookmakers we have not re-checked were retired.

Who writes the site?

Pages are written and checked by the 99 Bookmakers Editorial Team. We do not use invented author personas or claim credentials we cannot show. Every page carries the date it was last updated and a list of the sources behind its facts.

How we review bookmakers

For each sportsbook we read its footer, general terms, sports betting rules, bonus terms, payments page and responsible gambling page, and we verify its licence on the regulator’s register or through the seal on its site. We record what we checked and the date. We do not describe deposits, bets or payout times we did not make or measure; where a figure is the operator’s own target, we say so.

Ratings out of 5 use fixed weights:

  • Licence and complaint route: 30%
  • Clarity and fairness of terms and betting rules: 20%
  • Withdrawal rules (minimums, caps, processing targets): 20%
  • Payment options for the countries served: 10%
  • Sports coverage and features (live betting, cash out): 10%
  • Responsible gambling tools: 5%
  • Bonus value after rollover: 5%

A bookmaker we cannot verify is not rated or listed. Bookmakers that do not accept a country are never presented to readers in that country, and we do not recommend any bookmaker to readers in the US or the UK.

How the site is funded

Some bookmakers we list pay us a commission when readers open an account through our links. Partner bookmakers may appear first in a list where their verified facts support it, and we say on each list that commercial relationships exist. Payment never changes a fact we publish: licence numbers, rollover multiples, withdrawal caps and restricted countries are reported as we find them, drawbacks included.

Editorial rules

  • Primary sources first: operators’ own terms, regulators’ registers, official sports bodies and legislation.
  • Time-sensitive facts are dated; prices in worked examples are illustrative and labelled.
  • No live odds, no guaranteed tips, no “risk-free” claims.
  • Safer-betting information on every page that lists bookmakers.

Corrections and contact

If something on the site is wrong or out of date, email [email protected] with the page and what has changed. We check every report against the primary source and correct the page if needed. More ways to reach us are on the contact page, and how we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy. To understand our checks in practice, read how to choose a bookmaker or our bookmaker reviews, and for support with gambling, see safer betting.
